Welcome to Bible Seed. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ASTECH SOFT SRL (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Bible Seed mobile app and our website at https://thebibleseed.com (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The Service is provided by ASTECH SOFT SRL, 94 Inatesti Street, Ramnicu Valcea, Valcea 240011, Romania, registered under no. 43915708 (Tax ID RO43915708). You can reach us at support@thebibleseed.com.
2. Eligibility and age
Bible Seed is intended for users aged 14 and over. If you are below the age of digital consent that applies to you under local law, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your licence to use Bible Seed
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to download, install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial devotional use, in accordance with these Terms and, where applicable, the usage rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.
You may not, and may not permit anyone else to: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law); rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute it; remove or alter any proprietary notices; or use it in any unlawful manner or in a way that could harm, disable or impair the Service.
4. The devotional nature of the content — important notice
Bible Seed offers Scripture, daily callings and reflections, sacred images, a spiritual journal and related devotional content. This content is provided for personal spiritual and devotional purposes only.
The Service does not provide, and must not be relied upon as, professional advice of any kind — including medical, psychological, mental-health, legal, financial or professional theological or pastoral advice. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, or need professional guidance, please consult a qualified professional or your local emergency services. Bible Seed is a companion for your faith, not a substitute for professional care or for the counsel of your own faith community.
5. Scripture and third-party content
Bible translations and certain other content within the Service are provided under licence from third-party rights holders and Scripture providers, or are used because they are in the public domain. This content remains the property of its respective rights holders and is protected by copyright. You may use it within the Service for your personal devotional purposes, but you may not extract, copy, redistribute, publish or commercially exploit it except as permitted by the applicable rights holder or by law.
6. Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal
Bible Seed offers a free tier and an optional paid “Premium” subscription, available on a weekly, monthly or annual basis. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country and over time.
Auto-renewal. Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account with the relevant app store will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing and cancelling. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by, and managed through, your Apple or Google account. To cancel, use the subscription settings in your Apple or Google account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Premium access until then. Deleting the app or resetting your data does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials and introductory offers. If we offer a free trial or introductory price, the terms (duration and price) are shown at purchase. Unless you cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, the subscription continues at the standard price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to the refund policies of those platforms, and refunds for such purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Where the law grants you a statutory right of withdrawal or refund, that right continues to apply.
7. Your data and how it is stored
Bible Seed does not require you to create an account or a password. Your use of the Service is tied to your device and to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. If you wish, you may optionally provide an email address so that you can restore your data on a new device — for example, if you change phones. Providing an email is not required to use the Service.
Your journal entries, reflections and other content you create remain yours. We store and process that content only to the extent necessary for the Service to function and, where you enable backup, to let you restore it, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your personal spiritual content to train generative AI models.
Resetting and deleting your data. You can clear your data at any time from within the app using the reset option (Settings → Reset), which removes your content from the device and, where applicable, the backup associated with your optional email. You may also request deletion of any data we hold by contacting us at support@thebibleseed.com. Resetting or deleting your data does not cancel a subscription (see Section 6).
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service respectfully and lawfully. You must not use it to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, introduce malicious code, or interfere with other users’ use of the Service.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and original content (but excluding third-party Scripture and licensed content addressed in Section 5), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the licence granted in Section 3, nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.
10. AI-generated content
Some features generate content using artificial intelligence (for example, personalized sacred images or voice transcription). AI-generated content is provided to support your devotional experience and may not always be accurate or complete. All devotional and spiritual content is subject to human theological review before it forms part of the Service. You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional advice (see Section 4).
11. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas or feedback about Bible Seed, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction, attribution or compensation, and without any obligation to you. This does not give us any rights over your personal spiritual content, which remains yours.
12. Beta and experimental features
From time to time we may offer experimental, preview or “beta” features. These are provided “as is,” may be incomplete or unstable, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. We may collect additional diagnostic information to improve them, as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Open-source software
Bible Seed includes open-source software components distributed under their respective licences. Where required, the applicable licences and notices are made available within the app or on request. Those components remain subject to their own licence terms.
14. Changes to the Service and availability
We may update, improve, add to or discontinue features of the Service over time. We may also suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security or legal reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practicable.
Service availability. While we strive to make Bible Seed available at all times, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, internet connectivity, third-party service outages or events beyond our reasonable control may temporarily affect the availability of the Service.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, reset your data and delete the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the licence granted to you ends and you must stop using the Service; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue to apply.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will meet your expectations. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or ten euros (€10). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
18. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
19. Force majeure
We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, cyberattacks, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, labour disputes, or governmental actions.
20. Export compliance and sanctions
You may not use, export or re-export the Service in violation of applicable export-control or economic-sanctions laws. You confirm that you are not located in, and will not use the Service from, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not a person with whom dealings are prohibited under such laws.
21. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe that content available through the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@thebibleseed.com with: a description of the copyrighted work; the location of the allegedly infringing content; your contact details; and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. We will review and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content.
22. Apple and Google — app-store terms
These Terms are between you and ASTECH SOFT SRL only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content. To the extent you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that: Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; in the event the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app; Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal or regulatory claims, or intellectual-property claims; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Similar acknowledgements apply to Google where you obtained the app through Google Play.
23. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the law applicable to you. Where you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence; otherwise, the competent courts of Romania will have jurisdiction.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or on the website before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date below shows the current version, and older versions may be provided on request.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable or, if that is not possible, severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which will continue in full force and effect.
26. General
Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, with notice to you. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
